Careful of the numbers...my cruiser came equipped with the 9005xs and 9006xs, which are I believe Xenon bulbs. The Silverstars have a designation of 'st' after the number. So, the fogs are 9006st and the Low Beams are 9006xs st. There are no Silverstars for the high beams. Check out the Osram Sylvania site...

nice install. azpt brings up a valid point. be aware that there are dozens of vendors on ebay that list head and fog lamps for the pt cruiser. (eurodezigns seems to be the most prevalent) the fog lamps are no problem in that they are similar to many other automotive applications, but the high and low beams on the pt have a straight connector. most of the 9005 and 9006 bulbs on ebay have the angled connector. when i was looking for replacement bulbs, i contacted numerous people about the "xs" suffix on the pt lamps, and they did not know that there was a diffence, therefore, their product would fit just fine. one distributor said that i was mistaken and in all of HIS years of selling bulbs HE had never heard of such a thing. buy smart and you wont have to try and sell the incorrect bulbs to someone else on ebay. better, brighter bulbs are worth looking for--quite an improvement over the feeble factory bulbs.

I had a set of brighter bulbe in my '01 Limited. After 14 months, one blew out and when I replaced it, I noticed some discoloration and flaking of the reflector coating of the headlight assemble right above the bulb. I put the stock oned back in. So, be careful if you go with higher wattage as it may damage that silver/plastic coating inside the headlamp.

No one has flashed their high beams at me yet. I think these are pretty safe, since Mopar advertised these as an upgrade.

The Sylvania website lists the SilverStars as being 50 state legal. AZPTCruiser is correct, the ST designation is for the SilverStar, the XS designation is a straight connector. Bulbs without the XS designation have a 90 degree connector. There is a 9005 ST but no 9005XS ST at this time.

Edit: Added "state" in first line.
