What is the best way to replace my low beams and fog lamps with the silverstars?

Not sure I understand what you are asking but if you mean the procedure then you can replace them by removing the screws that hold the inner fender liner in the front, turning the front wheels to lock, remove the inner fender liner, rotate the bulb holder to remove it from the light housing, pull the old bulb out and put the new one in. The reverse the process to finish up that side. Repeat the process on the other side. Not hard but is a bit of an awkward position if you don't remove the front wheels and tires.

For the lowbeams, you pop open the plastic cover on the top side of the wheel well. The fogs, you need to unscrew 2-3 screws on the black liner to gain access, and follow directions by MichaelDay. Write to the guys at www.ptdoityourself.net they may have a guide.

PTDoItYourself.net has a section on replacing the headlight bulbs
http://www.ptdoityourself.net/pttechlib1.html#har but their info on the fog lamps http://www.ptdoityourself.net/pttechlib14.html#343 describes how to take out the entire fog light assembly which isn't appropriate just to change the bulb.

Thanks Mr Blonde(Andy)
I wanted to see how they(the headlights) would look. I am more sure than ever that is the look I want. Let us know-if people flash their high beams at you. lol At least they saw you. H. |
