Front tint

I posted this along time ago, want to get feedback from anyone that tinted their front windows, and had them installed a while. Mine has a dime size abrasive mark that the regulator made on window. what happens is when the window is down, the glass (or tint) sits right up against the regualtor and scrachtes the tint. It is most noticeable when the sun is shining right in your window. but it is there, anyone else found this. posting this on non turbo section as well. location is top middle in up position. Gary

We tinted ours back in March of this year and haven't had any trouble. I'll keep my fingers crossed. Thanks for the heads up on your situation. You should get warranty repairs.

It has been noted that the 03 cars may have a slightly different position for the regulator, in the NON-turbo General forum RED GT who has an 03, has developed the same mark in the same spot as mine.(per his post) The 02 models have not. Beware. Gary

merde! i have the same problem. i have an 03 gt. i thought that i might have left the mark on the tint, but no such luck. it is definately a mark as a result of abrasion. am bummed/pissed. i had some pretty cool flames cut from tint and installed at the lower edge of the front windows, and then had tint laid over the top. looks great from the inside looking out, and very subtle from the outside looking in. anyone have ideas as to lessen the damage?

once the damage is done, you can't fix it. can't even replace it because it will happen again. I had my dealer take off the door panel, and you can see the regulator sitting right up against the window. It doesn't effect it if just the glass is there. But the tint gets scratched. I learned how to deal with it, > I don''t look at it anymore. Maybe a cracked glass decal might work if it bothers you. ? Gary

I got my front windows done back in May or June. I noticed in September a hole, but it's no bigger than 2 centimeters in diameter. Really small. It still bothers me, but I don't think it's that noticeable. Since it happened, I've been watching to see if it has gotten bigger, but it hasn't. I guess I'll just keep on hoping it stays the way it is....
