Default Plug Wires?

Hey all.

I'm going to be putting some money into the PT next month... taking care of some minor issues that need fixing. Among them are plugs and wires.

Now I've read that the stock plug wires are crap-o. I would like to replace them with a set of upgraded wires. Could someone point me to a reputable online vendor to order them from?

Also, I'm planning to replace the plugs with NGK Coppers. Is the stock heat range acceptable? Will I see any better performance if I drop to a colder plug on stock boost? I ran NGKs that were one step colder on my Cobalt SS, but it was Stage II.

You don't need to go with a colder plug on stock boost.

BTW here is where I've got my Iridium plugs and MSD wires:

MSD Spark Plug Wires 03-05 Neon SRT / 03+ PT Cruiser GT - 03-05 Dodge SRT4 Ignition, Spark Plug Wires, Spark Plugs and Coil Packs SRT-4

I use MSD wires and stock Copper Plus plugs gapped at .040 in my stock '04 GT and it runs like a dream. Also use that combo gapped at .035 in my 350hp '05 srt-4 and the car pulls like a runaway locomotive. So you can see that combo works for both stock and modified. The MSD wires are around $50 and the Copper Plus plugs are around $6 so less than $60 for the two. IMHO $30 is way to much to spend on four plugs that are overhyped and overpriced. My friend with a big turbo '03 GT uses the stock plugs and is pushing over 400hp. Love driving that car!
