Want a performance type, for not too much $$$.
GT with 25k Miles. Any suggestions?? Also- what should they be gapped at? Thanks! |

The Champion copper plug will ignite 100% of the fuel. There isn't any unburnt fuel to find hidden horsepower.
New plugs will certainly be better, but only because they don't have 30K worth of wear on them. If unburnt fuel was getting expelled through the exhaust, you would get several trouble codes and a check engine light The gap is .045-.055 The lower compression of the OEM turbo allows for this wider gap. If you are getting misfire codes and a check engine light, close the gap to .042 |

Sorry MX-5, but I went with the stock heat range
Champion Plugs, Screamin Demon Coil pack (although I guess MSD makes a similar one now) and Magnecore wires PN#45428 for the Turbo. Hows that? H. |

don't bother unless you are getting a new distributor etc. Why get bigger wires to send the same spark? It kinda like putting a ten inch turbo back exhaust on, when all you really need is three

I don't know about the wires on the PT but most times wires are replaced with some that have a much lower reisitance than a stock wire has. Stock wires can can have 500 ohms or more and performance wires come as low as 25-50 ohms. However the wires are so short on the pt that the gain would be nominal.
