Since I'm on the road a lot, I think I'm going with the Borlas.

Thanks for all your input, I'll let you know how it goes!

the best way to do your exhaust is at a good cutom exhaust shop. This way it is exactly what you want, and not a cookie cutter brand. Just make sure they know what they are doin'!! I personally like the straight pipe sound and performance, people get scared when i rip it and for some reason no longer want to "play"??
That would be my first choice except I can't find a custom exhaust shop that does mandrel bends anywhere. I'll be getting the 2 1/2" Mopar catback exhaust.

I'm not sure if I like the way the Mopar/Borla muffler is setup, I think that they should have used a camaro style muffler mounted in the stock position to help w/ flow. It's just something about the Dside doing a 180 degree bend to get out the car.

Personally I'll be tring to get the SRT Mopar exhaust into my PTGT, I've got a great exhaust guy that does amazing work!

At the Block Party the Stage 1 cars had dual Borlas and they were quiet ( I didn't know they were there!!), and made good power on the strip. I ran just a sniff over 15 seconds the first time I was ever on a strip and first time in that car. The car was run without much cool down all day so it was good and heat soaked. Anyway I think the only real drawbacks are the design which looks real complicated and the lack of gratutous noise which I know some love!

The BTG Cat back single that I have is very nice. A nice sound and feels a little quicker.

I have always just had an exhaust shop bend the exhaust for me right there.

I felt similar on many issues that you bring up. The look should be "better than stock", I wouldn't want to come out some cold morning and see that 90% of the exhaust gasses exiting from the drivers side (read that: stick on dual), I wanted the smoothest flowing and most upgradable system available.

The BTG system is a balanced dual. The primary resonator effectively gives the upper end greater than 2 1/2" space (and throughout is 2 1/2" inner diameter), larger than similarly advertised systems. The whole stainless system is brushed to a polish that you would find on a show car. You can roll a 2 1/2" billiard ball the length of the system (no mufflers - only resonators to cut the high pitch sound).

I have had the duals for almost a year and love the system. My mileage increased, my horsepower went up, and that throaty rumble comes on with a turn of the key. Specialty shops that put togeather systems cannot mendrel bend, usually cannot make a stainless system, and usually use a muffler(baffles and such). all things that I didn't want. You make your own mind up, but remember that you probably will have whatever you choose for the life of the auto (so many other things to modify).
