According to the tech support guy that I talked to the HP is the same. I have a Typhoon and I'm getting 15 WHP from it.

Why not just remove the silencers from the air box ( cut the lower silencer off leaving the snorkle on), put in a K&N drop in filter and replace the turbo up pipe with a less restrictive one? Less than $100. That and the 2" hose I've got piping cold air into my box I've got no hot air going into my intake. Cheaper and I've got the same added hp and no hot engine air.

Mean, I sure would like to see a dyno comparison of that system VS the Typhoon. I modded my box but did not add the bigger pipe and I can tell you by feel alone the Typhoon wins hands down!! More noise more power!

Don't know when I'll get to dyno it. I do know that, by the seat of my pants I felt a difference when I modded out the box and an even bigger difference when I installed my bigger pipe. I think it really made a difference, too, when I installed the 2" hose. The air coming up the hose is directed straight into the box.
