Macster,
I have done this allready. Just pop the snorkel out of the air box, mark it right in front of the snap that holds it inside the box, hack saw it, now there is still a bit of the holes left, I just taped them with a strip of elec. tape. Filed all smooth and you would never know. Just pop your lid on your box and look at the snorkel you will see what I am talking about. You do not cut the box, just the inside snorkel part. As far as the snorkel I will not have to replace if I sell as if you look at it it is not noticable unless you saw a stock one first. I will send a pic to you after I shovel, and clean the car off. Here in PA we got dumped on again, with more to come. Going to my brothers to put the worm clamp on the power stearing hose today so will get you a pic.

Thanks, my air box is on the top of my tool box. I'll take a look at it. I like the "Brand X" up pipe. It's a vey cheap way to get 15-20HP.

COLD AIR TO THE HOLE IN THE FENDERWELL AND AIR BOX.
Go to a auto parts, buy a heater duct 2 to 2 1/2" I said heater DUCT. Jack up the drivers side front wheel , remove the wheel. look ar the plastic inter fenderwell disconnect the out side (do not renove the inter fender well. pull it away from the metel fender about 5 or 6" there is a indent in there where you can now put the 2" DUCT, at the bottom next to the fog lite, cut the 2" square plastic that covere the hole, this is where some say the brakes get cooled, but until you cut the plastic no air will go through for the air intake OR THE BRAKES I hope this clears up that that opening is not and never has been for the brakes. now once you have the duct more or less in place put back the inter fenderwell, push hard hit it with a mallet, put your foot on it, just push every thing back (it will work) now go to the lowest point of the duct punch 3 or 4 holes ( phillips screwdriver) for water drain. the duct should be about 1" from the opening in the fenderwell also for warergap and looking at the front of the car ,you will see the duct, paint it the color of your car and then i in Florida want see it. if and questions e-mail me maybe i can help. amx1397@aol.com and see mine at ptcw.truckmoxie.com/amx1397/ thanks to all that have helped me with my mods jim
