There are people out there that are running nos and turbo. The shop owners I am friends with said there is no nead with the stock turbo size. Big racers use nos sometimes when they have big turbos to make up for the turbo lag but with the size we have there is no nead. I would take the money you were going to spend and buy a apex boost controler. Then turn up the boost.

If you are going with a NOS set up then wet is better, safer. Venom makes nos kits that hook up to lap tops and are ajustable at different RPM's and gears. They are located in So cal and know a lot about turbo and NOS cars.

Here is what I did

Got a Nitous Works up to 100 HP wet kit ($450.00), The PT would require another fuel system to run the dry kit. Put in the throttle sensor switch, Added a push button activation switch on the shifter, Mounted the power switch in the console next to the emergency brake, Installed the nitrous/fuel nozzle in the rubber part of the air intake hose as close to the throttle body as I could, Mounted the soleniods under one of the shock tower nuts, Ran the lines under the carpet to the back end of the PT where I mounted the bottle on a board and strapped in with bungee cords. This whole system can be taken out in 10 minutes for warranty purposes.

When you install the system it is set up to activate at full throttle if you have the power switch turned on. That is why I added the activation switch on the shifter so I could still floor it with the power on and the nitrous not kick in until I hit the switch on the shifter.

I tried all the various HP settings and found the one my GT most liked was the 75HP setup. You get a chart with the system telling you what jets to use to make what HP you want to run.

With the system set at the 75HP I got a best of 265HP at the wheel and 366Torque at the MX5 dyno day last summer. Keep in mind mine is a GT with the Turbo. I have now installed the Stage 1 upgrade but have yet to get back to the Dyno.

Your warranty will be void the minute a dealer finds out you had or have nitrous installed.

Also plan on filling the bottle ALOT at $40.00 a pop. You say you won't use it much but trust me I know better....lol

Luckily I've got some fantastic news.

I just saved a bunch of money on my car insurance by switching to Geico
