Default 10w 30 vs 5w 30

I had my car in for an oil change and AFTER the oil was drained they tell me they were out of Moble 1 synthetic 5w 30, so they put in 10w 30. just wondered what the concenus is on this, will it matter much? gary

Should be ok,might hurt mpg a tiny bit.Harder starts in extreme cold weather.Being a syn. if shouldn't make a noticable change.
cook had an old car that leaked oil,he ran straight 50w in it.

i agree with cook plus with a turbo the oil gets hotter so it should be ok.

I think it would make a little diff if you are working in sub zero temps where you would want the lighter weight! One good thing about syn oil is that it does flow and dont fry!
