Mine had a sticker of $25,735 which breaks down like this: Base Price $22,290, Package 2CR $2,660, Heated Seats $250, Automatic Trans $290, Engine Block Heater $35, Destination Charge $590, Discount -$380. Leased the car with no down for 65 months (Dealer paid for first month and T&L) at $377 mo. Dealer swears to me that at about 42 mo I will no longer be upside down and can trade it in at no cost to me. BUT his lips were moving!!!

We bought one of the very first in St. Louis, back in August...it was the one on the showroom floor, every option including factory flames. It's Inferno Red with the chrome 17's. Sticker was nearly $27k, I got $500 off because my wife hates the flames
They gave us good money for our trade-in, a black '02 PT Ltd. I think we did so well because we have a good relationship with our dealer (Glendale Chrysler-Jeep in St. Louis). As for dealer asking over $30k for GTs - I have yet to see one marked up around here, and would run, not walk, away if I did 03 GT Cruiser Turbo 03 Mini Cooper S (on order) 02 GMC Sierra Sportside 97 Elantra 94 Miata 94 Explorer 4x4 88 Fiero GT 88 Fiero Formula |

Just returned from the dealer where I drove an Onyx Green GT, all the bells and whistles. Nice, a little exhaust tone, the engine seemed quieter that my 2002 Limited, (might be the test drive excitement). Seats hold you in place better, the auto stick is FUN, barked a tire in first gear unintentionally, definitely more horses. Love the 17" wheels.
Back to the table for numbers. First round: 25,450 + 1,000 market adjustment for the GT and 15,000 for my 2002 with 10,500 miles in perfect condition with a few mild mods. Difference: 11,450. Second round: 25,150 no market adjustment for the GT and 16,000 for my Limited. Difference 9,150. T thanked them and went back to the office. I guess I can buy 17" wheels, make an exhaust noise in my throat when I take off and leave the wife at home to get better acceleration. But still, it's the intoxication of horsepower. What do you guys think? |

My dealership in Houston , gives nice discounts if you make your deal with their internet salesperson! Go to your dealer's website and see if they have the same program. I bought my Patriot Blue GT AutoStick, in August from dealer stock. I paid all cash, $21,000, (no moonroof or leather). Just add the cost of those items to the price, which may not be much with the "R" Package option.

sticker price was $26,025 I paid 24,900. I used Consumer Guides Personal auto advisor service. http://auto.consumerguide.com/auto/new/
They set me up with a internet sales manager at a dealer on the other side of the city. Salesman said people off the street have to pay msrp at the dealership. 2003 PT GT A/T with autostick Inferno Red package 2CR, heated seats bought of November 18th |
