Sometimes I think too much, but, if it's raining out and you say that no water is getting in there, what would make you think air is gettng in then? If the air is saturated with moisture (when it's raining) and air is getting into the intake, the rain water should go right in with it. Doesn't this sound logical? Am i mssing something? Now it might not be a deluge of water but the air going in has to be very moist at the least.
Unless I'm mistaken the idea is to let hot air out, not suck wet air in.

We are talking about the "intake" right? Wouldn't that suck in air, the cooler the better on Turbos, right?

Lets try it this way, the hot air escapes out the cowl I dont think it sucks air in at all! Lowereing the engine bay air temp is good for all mechanical pieces! But lowering the air intake temperature is really the job of the intercooler!

if you overlook warranty issues, the cheapest upgrade with the biggest punch is a Manual Boost Controller (and it's quick and easy to remove for dealer visits).. You'll throw part throttle over boost codes though.

For about $100 you can buy a turboxs mbc, a solenoid, and a throttle switch, and set up a dual stage system that only uses the MBC at WOT.. no codes, and you keep your drivability.

I built my own cat-back exhaust for around $50, and it rocks! As an easier alternative to my side-exit pipe, for around the same price you could have ANY muffler shop cut off the stock muffler and just run a resonator tip (don't let them replace the pipe over the axle with their crappy bends though - the factory bends are a lot better).

I'd look at AMX's intake pipe ($99 I think?) as well..

for a few hundred bucks you could build a totaly kick-*ss PT My 03 with autostick will roast the stock tires if I punch it at d*mn near anything under 50 mph. I've got an extra grand in my guages and EBC, but at this point in my cars build they're not really needed.

Thanks for the info Jason. I really don;t know much about these Turboxs and the other items you mentioned. Do they hurt the engine or trans in anyway and what kind of increase am I looking at? Let me know where I can get more info on these items. Thanks again.
