Default Mopar synthetic or Amsoil?
What's the difference? Is Amsoil that much better than the Mopar one? Part of the service contract has oil changes included, but I must pay extra for synth. 15$CAD for Mopar or 30$ for Amsoil? is it twice as good?

Why not Castrol or Mobil 1 and spend the extra on goodies.

Because the Dealership carries Mopar or Amsoil...that's why. Anyone know the the major differences in those 2 oils? Who makes the oil for Mopar?

Mobil/Exxon makes the oil for Mopar.

I just spent $3.92 quart for Mobil 1 at Costco so the upcharge at the dealer seems about right if it is Mobil 1!

Chrysler Germany recommend "MB sheet 229.3 approved oils" for the Turbo.

Yes, the 229.3-oil ACEA A3/B4 is synthetic for longer intervals.
