I am looking at a 'new' untitled 03GT. Other than a lot more standard equipment and side airbags, what is different between an 03 and 04 GT? My primary concerns are:drivetrain and suspension. This 03 has moonroof, heated seats,17"wheels, cd changer, but no leather. Thanks BLH

The '04 model has the larger injectors that come with Stage I for the '03 models. That way if you want to upgrade to Stage I in an '04 model it's only a PCM (computer) swap. In the '03 you'd have to install new injectors (which wouldn't be warrantied, but on '04 since they are standard equipment, they would be warrantied).
I have an '03 that I drove off the lot 1 year and 3 days ago (gotta count Feb 29) and I still love it. Nothing like the big ear to ear grin I get when I floor the pedal and get pushed back into the seat.

Have to agree with DTs PTGT, I have had my GT since July and never get tired of putting my foot in it. I drove an 01 Limited for two and a half years and never got tired of the look but had to do something about the power, GT is the answer.

If the 03 has a fairly decent price cut compared to the 04...go for it. The reason I say that is because the 03 will take a larger drop in depreciation as soon as you drive it off the lot because it is already one year old.
Other than that the two model years are virtually identical. You probably won't even be able to tell the differance the extra 5 HP the 04 has...and if you add Stage 1 the HP is the same for both model years. Deen

I'm almost positive there is a "sport" suspension on the 04's. Not sure if they changed the brakes (rear discs on '03's?). As you said, a lot of the price jump was atttributed to goodies such as sunroof, etc.

I think the rear brakes are the same on both years.
If it were me, I'd go for the 03.I think you can get a better deal on it.Although I have a 03 limited and 04 tubo lite. The insurance is cheaper on the 04,Go figure[:I]
