I went with Raybestos Ceramic pads. Were about $75 from PartsAmerica.Com. Work fine, and NO DUST. Have had them on over 40,000 miles now. Didn't need discs.

Sorry, Gunner - see this is in GT Forum - dunno who has pads for the GT.

Gunner,
I had to go direct to EBC to get the slotted and dimple drilled rotors ($198) they were temporarily out of stock on pads, so I went to Tire Rack (on line) to get the pads ($69).

Tire Rac may have both in stock by now.

I feel much more comfortable getting a pad and rotor that are matched, I destroyed a set of rotors on a previous car with a too agressive pad on a stock rotor.

The setup seems to be working well, we had rain last night and they performed admirably. My son gave them a real test and pronounced them much better, and that they make a cool whirring sound when you stop. I have heard of this before with drilled discs.[8)]
Kirby, were you able to confirm that the EBC rotors and pads are the same dimensions as the PT GT? AT58 reported that the ceramic pads he bought were smaller than the GT pads.

These (both rotor and pads) were EXACT replacement parts. I took a good long look at each to make sure things weren't even a little off. They fit beautifully and they work.

EBC has some interesting things to say about the science of more efficient stopping and controlling dust creation. I won't be an advertisment, but the EBC site is a good place to start.

The slotted and drilled rotors are a good enhancement for reducing brake fade. I enjoy the quicker stopping power and feel a little better about the whole setup. I could have gone cheaper with just the pads, but the stock discs were obviously worn at 24K miles, I didn't want to take the chance.[8)]
