Hey everybody! I drove a turbo yesterday! a GT 2003 with auto shift, modified Air intake and dual pipes. Now I see why everbody raves about the turbo. Quick little bugger. The auto shift would take some time to get used to but would be fun.
Question the engine looked like the bottom end was heavy duty. The salesman says they used heaver pistion cylenders exct. Is that ture? If so they should last longer than the regular 2.4. Any input? ![]() |

The crank, rods, and pistons are all specific to the turbo engine, along with revamped oiling journals in the block and a killer tech head gasket. One of the ricer mags has the SRT version with 500 hp (same engine, different frame).

the short blocks in the GT and SRT are the same, I think it was SCC that was said they could handle like 900hp.
