Yep-street racing again

Rollin slow this morning goin all the back ways to work, lost in the yadayada of the morning drive time radio bunch. Rollin south on 157 all new six lanes of almost no traffic. This time of the day anyway.
Just left traffic light when I hear him but not sure what he is yet, he is passin me on my left, nice wheels low to the ground, GTI, nope he get past and it another Focus, SVT this time. Big ole pipe & lookin good, after he get out in front I catch up roll with him for a bit, then its on! Did not down shift just nailed the go peddle and left him parked. I can hear him though the moon roof but he aint catchin up. Look down and I'm goin 100 mph, I break for him to catch up, he blows by and break lights lite up, I catch up to him again, and of course he has to see my tail light agin so we go again and he dies again. In short GT's like smoking Focusr SVT'z.

He did not move much when he got on the gas, I didn't even down shift. We were rollin about 45 each time. You could hear him choppin but there wasnt any chips flyin. When I would get to 100mph I backed of and hoped my bird dog barked in time for me to shut down incase the man in blue was setting out there.

Nope, it's just a meager 16V DOHC I believe. I waxed one at the track last time I was there. Guy was running mid-17s.

They're either no longer in the SVT stable, or this is the last year as I read in Automotive News a couple weeks ago.

My brother has a PT and his wife has a regular focus. She actually likes the focus a lot better, and says its a lot smoother at higher speeds. (They live in Germany, home of no speed limits). I was just curious if SVT focuses, like mustangs and lightnings, were supercharged. If they were, that would be indeed, a very nice kill.

Amen. Stupidity lurks and if we are led, a funeral will be next for there will be dead.....Street racers always think it will not happen to them and sometimes they are right, it happens to the innocent.
