GT vs Turbo lite parts?

OK keep in mind I've never seen a GT, under the hood anyway.[:I]
I have an 04 turbo lite and I would like to buy a KN filter
system and replace my airbox.when ordering, when they say turbo
are they talking about the lite or the GT.or isn't there any differance between the two where the airbox is concerned.[:I]

There is no difference in the airbox for a GT or Turbo Lite. Order away!

There is no mechanical difference at all in the engine of the GT versus the Turbo Lite. It's only a difference in programming in the PCM.

At least that's the way I understand it.

Agree with TripleJack - the tuning on the GT lets it make full use of premimum fuel - mainly ignition timing.

I'm in full agreement with Jack & Scott. I have an 04 Turbo Lite myself, and from everything I've read (including 3bar's comments, which I figure are about as accurate as we could ever hope for) the PCM is the only difference. Which also means that the only difference between a Turbo Lite's 180HP and Stage 1's 235-240HP is the PCM (plus $350 and 30 minutes of install time).

OK still confused. went to Revel to order their kn filter
system. They say it fits all models except the 2003 GT.I'm
getting another headache[xx(][xx(]

If you are ordering just the drop in filter then the filter will fit all years. If you are getting the intake system then there is a difference between turbo and non turbo.

Jimbo,

The K&N system offered by Revel (K&N Part# 57-1515-1) is for the naturally aspirated PT. That is why it will not work with the 2003 GT (or 2004 GT or 2004 Turbo Lites).

You need K&N Part# 57-1531 to fit the turbo motors.
