I just put the BTG duals on last month. I had put in the Airaid air filter on prior. I suggest that you hold on to your money until you can get to a meet and perhaps go for a ride in a car equiped with the different exhaust systems. I like the sound of mine, BUT,,,,,, the sound does resonate throught the cabin, depending on your right foot. It can be quite loud around 2700 RPM, and it is related to throttle position.

I've had both dual systems. I like the Mopar / Borla over the BTG. Mopar is not as noisy and they sound great when your on it. Can't hear them at all at cruising speed. Sooo! If you like loud, go with BTG.

I recall 3bar posting once that the single catback BTG was the best bang for the buck. Since I'm not interested in the dual setup I want to go this route BUT I also want to hook it to Scott's (maxxfab) DP and flowthrough cat. I'll contact him, but can anybody see a problem with this since performance is my sole goal with the exhaust system?

thank[8)] as often as I can!!!!!!!!

What is the best price for the single output Borla 2.5" ? I found this one http://www.truckperformance.com/prod...oductID=153531 but it doesnt tell you how big it is. Anyone find anything better? I would go for the BTG, but that is only 2.25" and I will need 2.5" if I get a stage 2 upgrade.

IMHO it would be a waste to have Scott's 3" DP and hi flow cat and a 2 1/4" exhaust. Why create a bottleneck? Though I loved my BTG single I sold it because I wanted better performance. Check out the 2 1/2" Borla single. For myself I chose the 2 1/2" Heartthrob single and will get the DP and hi flow cat in a few weeks.

Thanks SteelBlue. The resonance can be a killer so it looks like I'll stick with MOPAR/Borla duals. I don't recall who (?thrift?) has the best price but seems like someone quoted $370 plus shipping.

Help??

Smoken em [8)] through 2700-300 on the way to WOT

I have to "addendumize" (is dat a werd??)my earlier post concerning sound resonating in the cabin with the BTG dual system.

I was under the car this weekend and decided to check the Cat to Resonator connection ( I was concerned about the weight ). I found that the connection of the two was less than adequate. The BTG pipe does not allow for the stock dimple on the Cat pipe, consequentaly (<-- please apply spill chick) I had an exhaust leak at this point. I removed the BTG pipe and applied the Snap-On 4" grinder and created a "dimple receptor". This allowed the BTG pipe to slide forward enough to actually bottom out on the Cat pipe. I also used the 12" Greenlee hacksaw to cut 2 added slots for the BTG pipe to be tightened up better.

Bottom line was that the pipe was much stiffer and the pipes do NOT resonate any where near as loud. I consider them to be VERY acceptable for your wife and the kids. They look and sound marvelous. ( yes, i did add some support in this area )
