First, I apologize if this is something already covered in the forum somewhere...honestly too busy to go searching through the archives.
I've noticed this happen a few times and am wondering if this is just my car or if it's happened to others: Upon coming to a stop (typically from a low speed of less than 25mph), it feels like my ABS kicks in, the car is slow to stop, and when I do finally come to a stop the tach revs to about 3000rpm. The only way I can get the tach to settle is to put the car in neutral and hit the accelerator and then is normalizes. This doesn't happen all the time - maybe 3 times in the last few months. But, it's enough to make me nervous. I come to you guys first before calling the dealer...[^] Any advice you can offer is most appreciated! |

Thanks to you both for your input and your "diagnosis" fits with others I've received from my club members. I have an appointment at the dealership this week and will let you know what comes of it.

Update: Took the PT to the dealer on Friday and everyone was hoping that the problem generated a computer code, but we all know how that goes...no luck. Dealer was awesome - came out and said they want to keep the car for a few days to run deeper diagnostics and see if they can duplicate the problem. Unlike the last 2 dealerships (Saturn and Dodge) that I've dealt with, where I had to fight tooth-n-nail to get a loaner if they kept the vehicle, no fight here...I didn't even have to ask..."let us have the car for a few days and we'll set you up with a loaner." MAN, I LOVE MY DEALERSHIP!!! So, hopefully by the end of the week it'll be fixed and problem solved.
Hmmmm, wonder if I could talk them into loaning me a Crossfire to help ease the torment of being without my PT. hehehehehe

Get them to lend you the 300C HEMI!

Other than from a performance (pure power) perspective, I don't like the new 300C. I think the body style is way too boxy and "truck like" for a luxury car. I'd go for a PT Convertible for a few days too if they can't fork over the Crossfire.
