Sakigt,

It looks great!

I retract my previous post after seeing yours. Now I want to add two more in there!

Ian

Sakigt, I can't see your picture. Did you install tweeters there?

CREWZIN, by "remote controlled mirrors", do you mean power mirrors? If so, then mine are powered. That picture is not from my car. I took it from sounddomain to illustrate my question.

TripleJackInGA, how did that part hurt your hand?

BTW, thanks guys. I think I can now call the dealer and try some of the names you guys mentioned. I wonder how much they're going to charge for it.

Nevermind Sakigt, now I can see the pic. That's exactly what I had in mind. Very cool.

May I ask what brand of tweeters did you put in there? What's the depth of the flush mount for your tweeters? Do they swivel?

Those are a part of audiobahn component speakers. The crossovers are in the dash and I custom fitted the 6 inch subs in the door. As for space, there seems to be a lot of it...not like tweeters need much room in the first place. Just rip that triangle off and take a look. My particular brand swivel, but they certainly arent the only ones that do so. Id suggest getting a kind that swivel so you can point the passenger side one at the driver and the driver's side tweeter at the passenger. Sounds awesome, IMO.

Jimbo,

I think I heard Sakigt say something like: " it's not the size that matters...etc"

Sakigt, why did you have to customer fit the 6" woofers? I thought you could fit 6.5" woofers in the PT doors.

How good are audiobahn speakers? Do you recomend them?

Depth wise, they didnt fit. I love my audiobahns but they were a pain in the ass to install. We had to cut out a spacer to help clear the window when it was down then trim away the door panel to make it clear that. THEN there was so much rattling that I had to remake a sort of cone to make sure the sound when out of teh door, as opposed to up and inside the door panel. It was quite a project....

Would you happen to know the depth of the audiobahns. I like these Alpines that are probably too deep for the PT doors and I'd like to know if I'm going to run into the same problems you're having, before I buy them.

Do you have the model number by any chance?
