My wheels are being replaced under warranty. The chrome is peeling off them, but it's sneaky....it's peeling starting on the INSIDE surface. The only reason I was aware of it is because I live in Ontario and swap out my chromes for steelies with snow tires. The stock chromes were stored in the garage for the winter. You might want to check....the peeling started at the base of the spokes. Apparently the part number has been changed, so DC must be aware of the problem. My car is a 2003.

Do you have the real chrome or the fake ones?

Thanks for the info, I'll check it out.
New chrome rims would save me some time on cleaning!

Have the same problem--chrome peeling from the inside. Unfortunately I also have a Lithia Motors (they purchased the locally-owned Chrysler dealership after I bought the GT in 03). This is the same dealership who refused to order, much less install, the Stage I. Well, I call them about the chrome peeling, and they say I need to speak to the service manager. They put me on hold for 10 minutes then disconnect. I call back and ask to speak to the service manager--I get a real person this time, but he tells me the manager is on his lunch break. Takes my name, number and says they'll call back.
That was 3 weeks ago. If I ever need warranty service on my PT, I'm taking an attorney with me.[xx(] Course, the new Motegi Racing wheels look and function much better. Will miss the PT when I trade it in next year, but I will never, ever go near a DCX dealership.[:I]

I have this problem, but I did not bring it in yet. I hit a pot hole an it put a slight dent in the rim. I don't think there going to cover it because of the dent and they will just they that caused the problem. They got that one, but will try anyway.
