Default If you hate street racers dont read this

Doin my usual role the back way to work yesterday, and I am setting side by side with a new Civic SI. Man he was looking good. Had some suspension modes showing under it you could see from behind, big ole pipe, wheels lots of mod badges. Three lanes and no one in front of us, light goes green and he smoked my GT. Not by alot but he beat me fair and square. Second light we end up side by side and for some reason he went for it and I did not. Guess I figured once was enough. Good thing, couple of blocks later was the man setting running radar.
When I finally caught the Civic in town, he rolled down the window and asked if I knew the cop was there, (radar dector on my dash) I said no and what have you done to that car? Every mod you can and a good shot of NOS !! Thanks for the fun and that PT looks good, and away he went.
This is the first time I have wanted STAGE 2.
Now dont set here and write nast notes about street racing, I warned you about reading this post.[?]

I agree with OurPTGT - if you're gonna go up against guys like that S2 probably won't cut it. He was probably shootin' what, 75HP with the bottle? Take a S1 PT, add nitrous (maybe a 100HP shot) and you'll be hard to beat in a short street race. Heck, nobody would be expecting it!

Of course, with Johnny Law settin' up down the street, maybe for once losin' wasn't such a bad thing!

The best thing about it is that you guys were civil to each other afterwards. Could have been easy to get mad, could have been easy for the other guy to throw it in your face. You guys were cool with each other. The way it should be.[^]

I've got a similar story from my recent go with a Civic with similar apparent mods, but I can only guess that he was on juice. This was a couple of year old Civic that was nicely done. He had about the loudest coffee can that I have ever heard. My go was only up to about 55 or 60 from the light and a clear safe shot ahead. I was "staged" a little ahead of him at the light so I wasn't sure if he was going to go for it. I moved out right at the green, but didn't punch it until I heard him nail it. I had the usual little bit of wheel spin that trac allows, and off we went. He pulled me by a half car and we stayed at about that gap. I did lose some ground when the boost went off during the 1-2 auto shift. I was truly surprised that he pulled ahead of me, and I find it hard to believe that he could have done that without NOS. I'm waiting for Stage 2!!!!

I had a kill last week, wasnt a civic though. It was an old toyota supra turbo. He was at the light reving his engine. (had a huge rice exhaust) and so, i went for it. i bet he didnt expect getting beat by my milf magnet. He embarassed himself in front of his girl to, that was sad.

I'm with you, ROD. It's hard to beat NOS. I bet you impressed him with your GT that's not boosted, and you still gave him a good race. Hold your head high! [?]

I don't how you guys do it. I haven't raced someone like that on purpose and then end up on good terms. I'd be pissed off.

By the way, pardon my ignorance but what's NOS? And how powerful is a Civic Si that it beats our GT?
