Since The thread got locked, I figured I'd just pop in & say thanks for the responses. I did read through, and thanks for the warnings & suggestions guys

lol yeah; I'll probably be back a lot. This PT has been owned by a person who relied on the auto-parts store for help when something went wrong. She knows nothing about cars, like, for instance: "What's the temp reading at?" asked as we refilled the radiator in her truck; [she read off the oil gauge].

Right now; the Power steering is out, but the fluid seems to be at an okay level. From what I've read they're pretty common to have fail? I also read about a recall that was done for the lines, but I think I'd look at that more if there was no fluid.

The PT hit a pretty nasty "pothole" (likely curbed, however) a while back on the passenger side, to the point of the fender badly contacting the door panel. I figure that might also have to do with the power steering issue, considering that's where the pump itself is located. (on the passenger side, i mean)
