Default 06 GT suggestions needed for performance parts

Just purchased a 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser GT High Output Turbo with engine code G
(supposedly same engine as SRT 4 Neon 238 H.P./250 foot pounds of Torque not sure)

Well I am looking to do some upgrades to get more H.P. and Torque and need suggestion on the following:

Fly Wheel
Clutch
Waste gate Actuator for more boost
intercooler and pipes
Blow off valve
exhaust
Spark plugs and wires
ignition coils
Electronic tuner

and what ever else some one could suggest hacks and legitimate mods/upgrades

Any suggestions will help and be very appreciated
thanks ahead of time

Engine is the same as srt. Except different tune(PCM). Not much to be gained with intercooler. Coils was of money. Tuner is where the real easey power comes from.

Danny he said "coils" with an s as in plural not coil as in singe unit transformer OEM replacement. So if he actually meant coils (plural)then that is a good upgrade and well worth the investment.

+1

The tuner is likely where you will get the most bang for the buck. Also, you might want to consider adding a limited slip differential to your wish list.

On this forum, the best performance threads are the older ones where folks were spending real money on their PT's. There's also some very good performance stuff on PTCrew.com. But the SRT forum is still has the best info.

Those that spent "real money" in the past have long since gone ,never really got their PT to run well, in many cases removed many of the parts they thought would increase their engine output.

There were so many mistakes made from the pioneer days of performance PT Cruiser enthusiasts I would not know where to start. Follow their example and you will end up talking to most of them now on FACEBOOK!

Todd IMHO I would not recommend to anyone a locking or limited slip differential unless you first talked to them and learned more about the condition of their PT and what the ultimate driving expectation are. Not everybody likes them on a daily driver.

PT Crew IMO is a declining PT Cruiser forum with much of the information hard to find, pictures deleted or removed or gone and almost all but the core members have moved on. SRT forums are just for basically SRTs. Although many think the SRT platform parts and mods can be used on a PT there are more that will not then will. Case in point recently a PT Cruiser member here on this forum bought a SRT intake complete and installed it on their PT Cruiser. They got a custom PCM tune that did not work. The owner is pointing blame at the tuner. The reality is that the SRT system works mechanical in opposite of the PT cruiser so the SRT forum information was incomplete and lacked that important information.
