Default Blown turbo and oil in manifold

Hi guys, I blew the turbo this past weekend and started taking it apart this morning and found oil in everything...from cold side of turbo all the way to the intake manifold...so I guess the seals went south and took the turbo out...I have ordered a turbo cartridge already and want to know what is the best way to remove all the oil residue from the manifold etc...and also when this happened the car was smoking like something off a James Bond movie where he was trying to ditch the bad guys with a smoke screen...so I guess the cat is soaked in oil as well...any way to clean this out or buy a new one?
thanks for the help guys!

Coked up oil passages on the exhaust side of the turbo killed the seals. You need to inspect the oil inlet hose for coking restricting the oil flow. Oem hose are available from eBay reasonable. But it's a witch to install. The seals in the turbo are no more that a miniature piston ring. No oil and ring or seal as its called callouses and let oil from other areas blow it the back. If pvc valve goes out it will smoke as well and it will suck oil int the intake. This might be what happend here. Oil out the back of the turbo can't get into the intake.

A similar thing happened to one of my PTs as well. The turbo died and I had the James Bond smoke screen as well. After I replaced the turbo, I pulled the intercooler hose off the hot side. Probably a liter or more drained out. I would suggest that you do the same.

After that I simply drove it fairly hard and for about 50km, to burn off the remainder of the oil still in the system. It no longer has the smoke screen effect. Probably not the best way, but it did the trick.

Thanks guys for the info and advice...I will have to look in the pipe and see how much oil is in it!
The turbo is on its way and should be here by Wednesday.
The oil line and return line is being made by a friend that works at an oem fluid line manufacturer here in Georgia and he is going to insulate it from connector to connector just to be safe from the heat.

It's the turbo that cokes the line. If you dont run the pt untill the temp comes back down after running it hard it will cook the oil. Heat transfers up the oil line from the turbo itself.
