Default Won't turn over

I have a 05 pt turbo that died out at a red light.I towed it home and had a mechanic do a scan on the car it gave me a code for the camshaft sensor so I replaced it and still won't turn on. Car does crank over just won't start some help would be greatly appreciated

NO, but it would set off codes for either the Camshaft or Crankshaft sensors or both, because they would be out of time with each other.

I was just wondering if the timing belt broke would I have heard a loud noise or something? Cause the car just died out at a red light and I didn't hear anything out of the ordinary

I don't know about on the PT 2.4, but on my Acclaim with the 2.5, it made no sound at all, it just died. I pulled over, checked the distributor for rotation and found none. I knew what it was then. Not a bad job, but am NOT looking forward to doing it on this PT turbo.

Pull the Camshaft Sensor off & have someone try to start the car...if you don't see the cam spinning, the belt is broken.
