First thing I would do is make sure you have clean contacts on the battery cables and the battery is fully charged.

2nd suggestion is to check the fuses under the hood that is related to the 02 sensors.

3rd is to check the wiring between the 02 sensors and the PCM. Take an ohm meter and check for continuity.

If you still getting the P0340 (after you cleared the original fault codes) then check the electrical connection to the Camshaft sensor and then check the wiring harness from the sensor, around back of the engine, to the computer. Make sure there's no chafing or breakage in the harness that would cause the signal from the sensor not to reach the computer.

Have you checked the ground wire on the 02 harness for continuity?

What brand 02 Sensors did you install in the PT Cruiser?

Not the wiring to the 02 sensors, the wiring to the Camshaft sensors.

Any chance you can answer my questions?

Also have you done an engine compression check?

Check the basics first. You're pissing away money on too many "maybes". Spark, fuel, compression and air. It's got to be lacking one of these or it should crank and start.
