I just installed a boost guage in my '03 GT PT and when reading higher boost pressures the guage seems to make a buzzing noise. Does anyone know what this is caused by and how to fix it?? It seems as though everything is tight on the mounting end of it...If anyone has suggestions i would appreciate it.. Oh by the way the guage is a sunpro if that makes any difference.. thanks pt pete....

It is the needle of the gauge vibrating. Non-dampened (possibly others) mechanical gauges experience this when measuring rapidly fluctuating conditions. I let mine sing. It lets me know when I am hitting the higher boost levels without having to look at it. Some find it annoying.

I've recently installed a Auto-Meter boost gage, same brand as Neon SRT-4. No needle buzz so far.

COrrect me if I am wrong, but isn't the SRT-4 / Autometer gauge you reference a non-mechanical gauge? |
