Default boost control/gauge?

Is this something that you install with a stage 1 or something I can add to my stock DC3 (cold air intake and magnaflow exhaust, mind you)?
What are the advantages of adding a boost control/gauge?

Confused again I am!! You talking about a boost gauge which simply tells u how much or how little boost your turbo is making, or are you talking about a boost controler which controls the actual amount of boost the turbo is allowed to make?? This allows you to hold your boost at a higher level than stock!! Either one can be used on almost any turbocharged car.

As SteelBlue says, they are 2 separate items. However, you would not want to install a controller without installing a boost guage so you can monitor your boost that you controlling.
