Is that PCM TSB also for high-rpm, partial throttle fluttering and nasty backfiring?

My b/f thinks its a bad coil but my neon guy is with me on the PCM. Looks like Ill be heading up to Chrysler [}] Maybe my buddy up there can get the cost of a replacement PCM towards the Stage I kit Boost controller coming off...

My sister-in-law had the same issue with her Neon. It was her plugs and wires. Doesn't rule out the coil though...

Crazy thing though, her Neon lost almost like 90% of its power and backfired like mad but NO CODES WERE THROWN!! (No CEL or ignition key/odometer codes)

Plugs and wires are cheap, and if you are still under 36,000 miles, they should be a warranty item.

yo sakigt my car was doing thesame thing and i had bad wires and a bad plugs. also some thing to remember when i started to turn my boost up i was blowing out the spark on the plugs with the higher boost.

make sure your plugs are in good shape and close the gap up some.

Im running Champion plugs...forgot what I gapped them at but it was a little less than stock.

Anyone have any suggestions for wires? Why stay stock?

Id rather try anything else first than return to the stealer. If it doesnt work I can always put the stockers back on and drop him off...

Yea...I ran the 14.6 at controlled 15psi w/ a ghetto-rigged intake (airraid with no bottom). Bwahahaha

Try .045 gap on the stock plugs. I picked up a .7MPH gain at the track by going to a .45 gap.

I would go with the 8.5's or higher
