Default 2007 turbo is fried

So from one second to the next, turbo started whining...car is still driving..occasional smoke....I realize the turbo is fried...most likely due to bad oil / lack of maintenance (I inherited this car)...only has 70K miles...

Should I repair turbo, replace...anyone want to buy a '07 convertible (w/ fried turbo )

Any recommendations on turbo repair / replacements in South Florida? I talked to the guys at turbos unleashed...they seem like good guys and know what they are doing...

Got a quote from local shop to do repair (british insert) for $700 w/ labor + new oil line

thoughts / comments / suggestions?

The turbo is easy to replace but the oil line isn't. Fact is its s bear. Look in the turbo section of the forum for a look at rebuilding the turbo. Gives you some insite of what is involved. I would contact 767skyking or Nitro_PT on the best replacement or rebuilders of the turbo.

Why sell it now that it's fixed? As long as you allow proper time for the turbo to cool down after dogging it, the line shouldn't coke up on you and be fine for a long time. Unless you just want something new and a car payment to make for several years. That's all I'm saying!
