Oh I forgot to mention it has 210,983 miles on it, 03 Gt Turbo with stage 1. Only parts I had to replace Radiator, Fan Motor, Rack and Pinion and the plugs, wires, brakes, Tires oh a Front Wheel Bearing Driver Side. Yes One Timing Belt Kit with Water Pump from Gates. I can't think of anything else at the moment.

I deal in these type of things. I would jump on one for the money you and nitro are talking about. Not to many as you can see from the responses here are willing to take one in this situation. Let them know that there is not many takers and junk price is nothing right now. if it was in my back yard. I would add it to my collection. Lol

Looks like this deal is going to fall through. The seller wouldn't budge off his asking price and said he now has someone offering more than his asking price. On to the next one....

he may call you back after he sees he's still stuck with it. nobody in their right mind would pay $900 for a non running 12 year old pt cruiser when you can get a running one for a few $$ more.

ChromerDon: mine was originally changed as a maintenance item at 96,000. it broke at 214k(which is 3 days after i got my car and 2 days before i was planning to change it anyways). it looked good too..minus the fact it was snapped

so for me, timing belt #2, from installation to snapping with a premium gates belt, was 118k. it snapped when i frantically hit the brakes before the clutch on a wet street because a drunk pulled out from the VFW lodge.

i get what you're saying though.

Ok, I found another one with a busted timing belt. It is an 03 dark red GT Turbo. It is in fantastic shape with 172K on it. Got it for $500 and will start the tear down soon. Never driven a PTGT Turbo, looking forward to it.

Please post some pics! Did they just drive it until the original belt broke?

Once you get it back together and drive it, you'll probably put your other one up for sale and start looking for a 2nd turbo. Yeah, they're that much fun!
