@10K I changed my stock plugs and the ceramic broke on 2 of them in my hand. What a piece of...

@20K Im missing at higher speeds at partial throttle. Getting the new mopar wires on ebay.

My boyfriend wants me to wait on installing more parts until I take my GT to the dealership, but frankly, Im tired of Chrysler's piece of crap ignition components. Id rather throw down for a new coil if thats the issue than get my stock POS replaced with another POS. [:I]

After seeing recent posting of Cruisers spark plugs (don't look pretty, do they?) I will
be ordering probably Magnacore 8.5 and some new copper plugs this weekend. And believe it
or not, I think I can handle this mod myself[8D] Almost seems like everyone
should do it, fairly inexpensive and most likely would improve pickup and maybe an
extra mph or two.

I have decided to go with the Champion copper plugs and Magnacore 8.5 wires, should I be changing the coil to a Screamin Demon or leave the stock coil?

Steel

If they are "working right" then why throw them away? Anyway, I'd regap em and put a little "grease" around the threads. Also, when changing them remove the sensor which is right above the 2nd plug from your left.

Grease the threads?[:0] Boy you are looking for trouble. Either your going to over torque the plug and damage the threads or your going to cook the grease around the threads and damage the threads removing the plug. No lube what so ever on a plug thread, especially on an aluminum cylinder head. I still say 15K on a turbo, cheap insurance for reliable spark.
How can someone slam the ignition system when they do not know what the exact problem is?????
You guys are waisting your money on those 8.5mm wires and super duper coil crap. Your only going to use the amount of energy it takes to fire the plug and no more. Your 50 billion volts is never going to be used, these engines don't even rev past 6200 and maybe have a 8:1 effective comp ratio. You would think your running nitro in a 14:1 engine. I suggest you cancel your subscriptions to Hot Rod magazine and take a real auto class at the local JC and really save some money!
Being at cruiser fest today I saw all these jack asses trying to peddle this bogus info to my fellow cruisers, what a joke!
Cruiserfest was awesome today, lots of nice cars and great people!

Hmmm

Okay!

Uhhh, a group of us RK, Tezz, etc are going to the Fontanna Race Track today (5/29/2004). We are going to meet at 1:30pm, at the ARCO AM/PM on the NW corner of Valley and Central. Come on out and lets check those spark plugs.

m~
Crap!
I would love to have met with you, but didn't get to your note in time. [8)]
My son bought a C4/'89 (really weak HEI ignition system) we were cought up in putting an MSD System (MSD6A CD Box, Wires, Cap, Rotor, and Coil - and Champion plugs).

I needed to workon the PT (I hear good things about the MSD Deamon Coil/ better at high rpm).
