Default idle fluctations

There are times when coming to a stop the idle does not drop then when you are stopped the idle may stay at 1000-1200 instead of dropping down to around 750. If you pump the pedal it returns to the fast idle. The idle may stay there for a minute or so before it drops or may just stay there. If you turn the car off and restart the idle will be normal. There are no codes. I've checked the throttle body and it's clean as a whistle. The pedal cable is free and not binding.

Any ideas, I love my 03 GT and this is annoying.
Thanks for your input

I would suggest you check the vacuum lines going to the brake booster. There is a vacuum fitting next to the brake booster and sometimes the rubber cap rots out and start leaking if there is a rubber cap on it.
