Default baffeling problem on my 03 GT

at idle sometimes it misses (more often the case) but could idle normally. In neutral I can rev it up to 4k rpm and not feel a thing but get into the turbo it bucks backfires and misses. The check engine light is on but that is for the gas tank filter which I've had for years other then that there no codes showing. I just cleaned my K&N filter and replaced the worn out platinum plugs. Also did a compression check and all cylinders are good. When getting in the turbo you can smell a lot of unburnt hydrocarbons. I looked over all the hoses and connections.
anyone have any ideas

My 03 GT doesn't have an EGR valve.

Hope you ditched those platinum plugs for coppers or irridiums.
