What other mods are you running? Also would like to see your posted time slips. The majority of SRT4's with Stage 2 are only running 13.30's to 13.60's. It would take over 300 HP to run 12's and no one with the factory turbo is making that kind of power even at 20-22 lbs. boost.

Mike-in-Orange,

SSR Competition wheels are 13.2 lbs each for the 17" size. But, they are $355 a wheel (Tire Rack)...

FYI

In order for a PTGT weighting 3443 lbs to run a 12.9 ET in the 1/4 mile, it requires 412.1 HP at the flywheel or 317 HP at the wheels. So did you run that time in a PT or some other vehicle?

Before you hit on the kid from Red Deer remember what I said; if you need cold air you have a choice; 1) move the passenger side AC pipe to the intake or, 2) move to Red Deer ( Canada )! Remember gentlemen; you want to be in the 12's, seconds, not degrees! [^]

However no matter what kind of deer it is, you gotta have the HP and torque. So what kind of set-up does he have?

All of your passes proves my "PCM Learning Conspiracy theory" The first and sometimes seccond pass on the car will allway be crappy. The PCM has adjusted to normal driving, after a few passes, the PCM will be working better and the engine will increase performance (to a point).

Now I need to check the "Reseting your PC will increse HP" theory.

I want to test the car first right out of the street, then a second run just like it is, for the third run, Reset the PCM and do a fourth run for consistency.

My theory, by just doing this, the car will show a big HP and torque gain in the last two runs. Proving the "Learning PCM" theory.

Hmm

In order to do that and to control the conditions as much as possible, the temp/time of day has to be relativity the same. The time between runs has to be the similar. The weight of the car and the driver (ß-- no pizza etc) has to be the close. When I did my consecutive runs the car dropped down (let’s say a max of -.3) and then leveled off in performance. BTW, that was one of the reasons I put the times of the runs in my spreadsheets. I also need to add a temp and mod column to spread sheet. Finally some mods will only help the 1/8 mile times while others will only help the 1/4 mile times. But you are on to something.

I am 99% sure that if you do the passes consecutively, It will show.

I have noticed this fenomenon on the road. the car could feel slugish but after a few accelerations it comes back to life!

there is a big HP increase from the PCM from 14.78 (205HP According to a HP Calculator using a weight of 3300LBS) and 14.20 (230HP using the same weight). I have no doubt that the PC is to blame.

25 HP increase, The PCM is defeanetly changing from street to Strip with every pass.

Maybe the dyno thing will be a little harder to see because what you have stated, but the PCM is dynamic and will compensate or reduce depending on what it reads.

We have proven already that altitude doesn't affect the "factory" performance of the car.

The times are great! and best of all Realistic.

A year has passed since we started to study the PCM and the internals of this engine and we still have a lot to learn. I will losely echo the words of a fellow Driver from the forum (which I havn't heard from latetly on the performance side) DALITE:
"It will be a hole lot simpler if DC would release the PCM programing codes to the public".

He was the key person in sheding light on the PCM mistery. It is where the HP scavenging game ends.

Just two cents.

I attribute the faster run to the driver........well the driver turning up the boost on the 2nd run [?]

Hopefully the next time I go out I'll get more passes.
