Met up with tezz, macster and Mike-in-Orange on Sat 5/29, very cool guys. Very crowded day, seems everyone had the same idea as us, lots of waiting (holding area for about 30-45 minutes, tech inspection 2 hours, wait in between races 1 1/2) close to 400 cars were out racing. Don't have a scanner at home so I can't post my slips.
My best at Fontana was a 14.88 First run r/t .586 60' 2.268 1/8 9.488 mph 73.37 1/4 14.78 mph 92.11 Second run (grudge race with Mike) r/t .479 ooop's redlight 60' 2.134 28psi on DR's 1/8 9.099 mph 77.09 1/4 14.204 woo hoo mph 95.67 All runs I made no back seat, spare or jack and 17' drag radials First run boost I say was holding 13 psi, wasn't really looking at my boost gauge, drag radials with 35psi Second run I turned up the boost and I was 1st and 2nd held 15 psi till redline when I hit 3rd boost went to 17 and held there till the finish, drag radials with 28psi. I think if I drop my DR's to about 20psi I can get a 1.9 60' All in all it was a good day hanging with the fellas, when they left I was gonna stick around to get a 3rd run in but they were still running group 1 and I was in group 6 so I called it a night. I'll let the guys tell you there times. the mod list that I believe are considered go mods, have lots of show mods but that doesn't help in 1/4 times (i'm not a ricer) go mods: Turbochargers.com wastegate, turboxs dual stage boost controller, 17x7 Velox vr-6 16.5 lbs each, 225/45/17 BFG Drag Radials, K&N intake, Adam's UCP, custom 3" catback, phat bones motor mounts, screamin demon coil, Livewires spark plug wires, NGK plugs gapped at .40 |

Hey that was great, it was worth the hour and 45 minutes drive.
My times were as follows; a. RT .512, 60 ft 2.309, 1/8 9.716, mph 71.65, 1/4 15.234, mph 88 b. grudge race against Tezz (I red lighted) RT .453, 60 ft 2.257, 1/8 9.575 mph 73.66, 1/4 14.905 mph 91.67. I was happy with my times for now. I can see 13's on street tires in my future. m~

Yeah, we had a fun time for sure! This was my first experience at something like this and it was a blast to be able to just stomp the thing and let it run! My best run was my grudge race against R_K_GT when he red lighted:
r/t 1.060 (can you say wake up stupid?) 60' 2.255 1/8 9.658 mph 71.48 1/4 15.071 mph 89.82 I did get to kill an older 5.0L Mustang GT in my first run, even though he had a better reaction time than I did - which apparently wasn't too hard to do that night - so that was great fun! Seems I need a MBC though........ damn, rkgt ran a 14.2!! Very cool. R_K_GT was the only one of us there running the drag radials, MBC, phat bones motor mounts, etc. We all have S1 and Adam's UCP kit and the rest of us all ran very consistant times. Tezz even had the factory stock tires. Our second runs were all under much cooler conditions as the sun was going down......pretty serious temp differences from midday to sunset in SoCal, so I'm sure that had most everything to do with our times dropping so much. Serious kudos to Tezz though for running a 14.7 with stock tires and no BC of any kind! |

Dissapointing times for the Adam's pipe kit. Looks like all that hp isnt doing us any good if we cant get it to the pavement...
Did any of you happen to reset your PCMs? If the PCM compensates the extra hp from the intake the logic thing to do would be to reset it, correct? I should be getting the kit in this week so next wed. Ill be at gainesville to test this all out. I'll run it as is, reset the computer then run again. Ill be dumping all kinds of fuel... ![]()

At the time, I had a MBC (the home depot $20 kind) set at 15psi and a ghetto-rigged airraid intake (the bottom half is open b/c it doesnt fit with my hood so it just kind of hnags there...)
Id like to know what kind of trannies you guys have. Mike's 89mph compared with macster's 91mph...could that be due to autsostick vs auto? Rice: although the DRs helped your 1/4, your mph probably couldve been higher w/o them. Do you have the autostick or 5 speed Getting different kinds of turbos and mods is really helping me thinks...I'll bet anything your times wouldve gotten better if you had more time to run...The night I ran my 14.6 I ran a 15.51, 15.9, 14.9, 14.7 then finally the 14.6....
