I had the cat-back BTG system on my '02 TE. This is the one with long resonator to reduce resonance. The system was still loud and had the 3K drone, but I didn't really care all that much since I crank up the radio. I installed the axle-back portion of this system (no resonator) on my '04 GT. The sound is nearly as loud on the turbo as it is on the normally aspirated engine. There is less drone, but the peak resonance is still at 3K. I still have the resonator and could install it, but again, I'm so used to it from driving my BTG-equipped Touring Edition that it's "normal" to me. However, as Garu said, if you want a quiet or drone-free exhaust, the BTG axle-back isn't the best choice. Performance it good though, since the turbo seemed to spool up more quickly with the BTG compared to the stock muffler.
