on the thursday of last week i was in a nasty wreck with my pt gt a pickup truck made a left turn in front of me at an intersection. I was unable to stop and hit the truck broadside. the pickup and my car are both write offs. Icant say enough for airbags and seatbelts they saved my life and my passengers. my passenger had not had his seatbelt on and his face hit the windshield, the airbag deployed and kept him in the car.he now is undergoing plastic surgery to repair his nose cheeks and jaw. in closing I am very impressed at how these cars hold up in such a violent accident, also if anyone thinks they can get away without a seatbelt think again.i was very close to losing one of my bestfriends due to no belt. I also want to thank everyone for all their help in making my car the funnest car i owned and wish you all the best in the future . i will stop in occasionally to say hi and to see what feats you have conquered.
thanks again and wear your belt sicerley 026TB4U [B)] |

Glad all were ok. You can replace your car but not your friends.
Maybe this was a wake up call to your friend to wear his seatbelt [B)]. IMO FWIW, The driver is responsible for his passengers . It's your duty to make them wear their seatbelts

Ouchy! Glad to hear everyone was relatively ok. I never let my brother get a way with leaving his seatbelt off. Once he refused toput it on b/c he was sick and wanted to lean back. I refused to leave until he did...5 minutes later my escort was wrecked bad by an SUV going 45mph.
Cruise safely! [8)]

glad to hear that your friend is alive to tell about the wisdom of not buckeling up. quite a while ago, i did not wear my seat belt all of the time--no excuse, just stupid. then after working on my girl friend's car, rolled it on the rainy slick seattle freeways--fortunately buckled up. been buckled up every time since then. it is quite the spectacle going down the freeway backwards with the drivers side of the car on the pavement. quite the shower of sparks as the rain gutters grind themselves off. woof
