the obvious answer if it really hasnt been said is to go dynamat.. or a cheaper alternative.. i did the entire cab of my old 98 f150.. its amazing stuff. turns a tinny sounding vehicle into something thats as insulated as a more expensive car.. and the pt def. needs it..

Dynomat or similar type works for sound reduction and vibration for interior but does nothing for sound reduction on the under carriage caused by the road garbage getting kicked up. This must be addressed with either bed lining coatings ,rubberized brush on or old style undercoatings.
All of this if done completely will add close to 25-50 lbs of new weight.

I really don't think my GT is that noisey compared to a 04 accord I had. That thing on the freeway was so loud the radio could barely drown it out. Could have been the tires because that car was so smooth to drive. I have heard Dynamat or any of those work good but you have to cover every inch of say the floor and up under the dash or it's not as effective. My 2 cents.
