Default Theta Global I-4

Interesting article in the current Motor Trend Magazines in regards of the 1.8. 2.0, and 2.4 L 4 cyclinders joint venture - Hyundai, DCX, and Mitsubishi.

The new 2.4L 4 Cylinder produces 156 HP and 160ft/lbs of Torque. It has dual continuous variable timing, a lightweight valve train, plastic intake manifold and head cover, balance shaft, and an exhaust manifold next to the bulkhead for quick catalyst light-up. The engine will be in the upcomming PT cruiser, sebring, stratus, lancers, galant, outlander, and eclipse.

Hyundai plans on making 2.0 gas direct injection, liquid propane direct injection, turbo 2.0, and a high-powered and high speed 2.0.

My favorite would be a PT Cruiser Type R (Would like to hear that engine scream at the high RPM range). I would think the cruiser most likely will get the 2.0 L turbo.

I hope to God they don't call anything DCX a 'Type R'. First off they couldn't because that's a Honda thing, but even if they could, I would loathe it. It's just ghetto because everyone slaps that crap on anything from an Escort to a F-150.
