Default Slave cylinder

About a month ago, I had to take the transmission out of my car to replace a fitting on the slave cylinder. After I got the car back together the whole car would start to shake if I didn't let the clutch out slowly. I just took the transmission out again and the spring on the slave pushed out. The spring is not connected to the slave or the circle piece that pushes on the clutch.

Does this mean that slave is bad or can I just try to push it all back on together?

Did you press the slave while the clutch was not installed in the vehicle? Did you reverse bleed all the air out?

Chaz; the slave cylinder and throw out bearing are a [sealed] combined unit on diesel and turbo PT's. [2006 info and likely all years]. Your old one is bad if it is separated. NEVER push on the clutch pedal unless the bearing/slave assy. is fully installed in the vehicle.
