Default Ticking Sound

[:I]
I just did my first oil change on my GT Cruiser. I used Mobil One 5W30 and a Mopar 215 Oil filter from the dealer. On start up I notced a ticking sound that wasn't there before, however it did go away after driving for a few minutes. Is this just from the oil being drained out or is it because the filter is slightly different from the factory filter. It looked different on the inside, maybe missing some type of back flow device or something. [:I]I know that the N/A engine uses a different filter but the dealer parts guy assured me that the mopar #215 filter was for the turbo. Any ideas guys? Has anyone else used the Mopar #215 filter? TIA

Well, I went to a different dealer today and got the same "factory" oil filter as was originally on the car and my problem was immediately solved. You would think that a parts manager at major DC dealership would be able to give the right part... It's a scary thought of how many people must have brought their vehicle in for ticking noises and had endured unnecessary work done and billed because some #@$%[)] couldn't bother to get the right part in the first place.

I don't understand what was causing the clicking noise. Did it do any damage to your engine?
