So if you were doing this on Autostick you would put leave it in two and accelerate (it's not supposed to go?) then when it reaches the correct RPM/speed (drawing a blank here) you shift it into first and it will shift to second? Sorry, i'm confused.

powershifting applies only to clutched manual transmissions.
full throttle acceleration and @ 500rpm before redline clutch it to the floor shift briskly and side step the clutch letting it pop up all the while keeping the gas pinned to the floor. In a turbo it'd probably burn tires through part of 2nd and chirp third.

im a old mustang guy i change for a pt for the new family my way power chifting i use the clutch full throtle with quik shift alway full throtle
