Default Turbo light to track

Finally took my turbo light to the track here in Orlando. Ran both runs with full interior, spare and 1/2 tank of gas. First run I thought i would get beat cause i lined up against this chick in an RSX (looked like Type-S, big wing and type s wheels, but didn't examine it) Heres what I did...

ME RSX

R/t .613 .591
60' 2.350 2.782
330 6.736 7.529
1/8 10.404 11.247
mph 66.99 66.14
1000 13.606 14.398
1/4 16.334 17.044
mph 82.53 84.85

I won by .6887 sec HAHAHA!

next i raced a 350Z (knew i would lose but hey) tried adding few hundred revs off the line to see the effect) see for yourself.

me 350Z
r/t .534 .987
60' 2.431 2.370
330 6.811 6.353
1/8 10.481 9.613
mph 66.90 75.03
1000 13.677 12.421
1/4 16.400 14.783
mph 82.55 94.62

350 won by 1.1640 sec...oh well, but was close through 1/8th!!

My times and speed were way consistant mybe i should do some bracket racing. The only difference was the first run i launched at 1700 second time 2000 rpm. Knew 1700 was best but thought i'd see what i could get.

I am stock still with the 4-speed auto. Next time i'd like to run without my seats and such, but we'll see. Temp was in the low 90's (summer in Florida!!!)

Nuke, that's awesome - great reaction times too! Yours is only the second stock Turbo Lite I've seen 1/4 mile numbers for. Have you considered upgrading to Stage 1? I have the same car as you - Limited Edition Platinum Series (nice interior, huh?!) - and Stage 1 has been a revelation! The fun factor jumps by about 1000% and you can install it yourself in about 20 minutes.

By the way, my best track time is a 14.87 @ 90.5mph. Not a bad improvement for about $350[8)]

Hi there, I am running basically stock Turbo Lite Auto as well, here are the details from my first track night,

Basicaly stock Turbo Lite, Brand X pipe, white silencer removed, stock air filter, rear seats, spare and jack removed. 3/4 tank of premium. Front tires at 30, rears at 45. Disconected battery and 'taught' it to run fast. Also car hit 1000 miles during first run, still has dino oil in it. (changed at 500, synthetic going in now)

I got there late and they had 300 cars running, so I got on practice run, Launched at 1500 rpm, second run was a bracket race and I launched at 2500. no wheel spin.

Thanks guys. I was hoping to run around 16 flat or so but the key was i ran it like i drive it everyday. No track tricks or weight savings and 87 octane pump gas. Plus it was pretty hot out. My outside temp gauge in the car was reading 104 F in the pits but i suspect it was still in the low 90's. The Pt is pretty strong down low but kinda loses some oomph at the top end. I think a 5 speed turbo light would be in the mid 15's but stuck with the auto. I think the gearing of the 4 speed auto is not designed for the top end plus the bad aerodynamics of the PT don't help either(.38 cd). But i could be around 16 flat with some weight trimming and tire pressure changes. Just gotta get a Stage 1 then see the difference.
