Default California Speedway August 21st

To any and all SoCal members, we will be having another gathering of PT Cruisers at California Speedway in Fontana for Street Legal Drag Night. In the past we've had half a dozen or so PTs show up for this, and we manage to get in 3 or 4 runs, but mostly we just hang out and have a great time.

Plan on it being a long day as gates open at noon, tech inspection starts at 2:00 and racing runs from 4:00 until 11:00PM. Cost is $20, you must wear long pants and at least a T-Shirt (tank tops are a no-no) and you only need a helmet if your car runs in the 13s.

We've been meeting at the AM/PM at the corner of Valley and Cherry off the 10 Freeway and rolling in together from there.

Feel free to PM me if you need/want more info.

Bah! When I logged in I didn't get the burning folder telling me there were any new posts there so I missed it.

So will a double post mean that twice as many people will show?

And John, are you going to make an appearance this time????????

Mike I'me going to try to get there, but if Paul Tracy doesn't give my helmet back I'm going to give my car to Lisa Kubo for the day!!!
Now that I've crossed to the DarkSide it's time to put it to the test!!!

Unless your car will run in the 13s Paul can keep your helmet; you won't need it at the track! And if Lisa Kubo can do for your PT what she's been doing with that Saturn of hers, I say go for it! A 7 second PT would be awesome - though probably not street legal!

Mike, you were right in some earlier posts about Stage I being more then just HP. Although there is some added power the smoothness and quickness of shifts and the quieter exhaust are great adds. I'm looking at the Daisy Chain grounding as my next underhood mod and then its on to the suspension.

Suspension mods are fun....feels like you have a whole new car! I've changed springs and shocks and my Eibach antisways are on order and should be in my hands any day now.

Have you figured out how to do that, e.g. which grounds need to be tied to what and where to start your run from and and where to end it? They will have to be in series, that is a must.
