Update on my engine light problem

If anyone is interested, here is an update:

It turns out (or so I'm told) that the leak detection pump had to be replaced. I was told that the system was giving the wrong code from the beginning - the first time the engine light came on, they said it was a loose gas cap. I was told that the tech was 99.9% sure the light wouldn't come back on again, but then again, that's what I was told the 2nd (software update) and 3rd (purge valve replaced) time the light came on. I may or may not get my car back tomorrow - they want to make sure they've resolved the problem I guess.

I hope this problem is finally fixed. Crossing my fingers!

Hope that nails it. I didn't even know about leak detection pumps and purge valves. EGR valve and catalytic converter are only 2 parts of overall emisisions system I know.
