Is it simple to install a turbo guage? I'm not a gear nut, but I can figure things out if I had easy instructions. I'm just curious to see how much boost I'm getting/using.
Also, can anyone recommend a reliable, accurate guage? Is there a single pod available? Most pods I see or either dual or tripple. Or maybe a recommendation as installing it elsewhere. I don't want to install a pod that would block the side window vents. |

Get a mechanical boost/vac gauge. This way the only wiring you have to do is for the light source for the gauge.
Other than deciding where to mount the gauge (dash, A-pillar pod) this is one of the easier gauges to install. Do a search on this forums, there's a lot of info. The idea is to tap a vacuum line off the intake manifold run the line through the firewall and hook it up to the gauge. Elctric boost/vac's have a MAP sensor you have to make a bracket for and extra wire to power the gauge as well as the light source. I used a Autometer ProComp series, but have heard good things about the Lunar and Phantom lines.
