We hope for 30% humidity. Most of the time in the summer we see mid 90 degree days with around 80 to 90% humidity.

Makes it hard for people and cars to breathe around here.

And I bet the higher altitude with(I guess thinner air, right?)makes it hard for the people and cars to breathe there too.

All in all aint noth'n more fun than dragraceing.
Well I guess there is other things also. But I will stick to the dragraceing.

George

We had a few guys hit the track this past Sat. It was my first time and I'm hooked. Andy akaMr.Blonde is running a stock GT that he clocked in a 14.8? He was manually shifting it in autostick mode. Maybe he and the others will chime in here later with their results.
My 3 runs were
14.53@94.32 60' 2.171 r/t .377 t/c off
14.68@94.01 60' 2.297 r/t .450 t/c on
14.79@93.08 60' 2.253 r/t .425 t/c on gear selector in 'D'

as you can see, I got worse instead of better [xx(]

I need some serious work on my r/t [:0] but what a blast! [8)]

This was the first time i have EVER been to a track, and am very pleased with the results. as far as performance mods are concerned... i had a BTG CAI, mopar/borla dual exhaust, and mopar bov (doubt that helped at all). I did this with the back seats out, trac off, and letting autostick shift itself.

Yeah, nice times. Makes me want to go out to the track now. I've got S1 installed and will be installing Mopar BOV, Borla 2.5" dual exhaust, and Airade CAI.

So, how did you launch? Did you have it at full WOT and just let the tires spin until they got traction? Or did you just use (I think this is the correct terminology) brake torque and just let go of the brake once you hit about 15k?

i just went WOT, nothing special. a lot of the S1 people were loosing too much traction that way.
